The Nine Star Story
These headaches are getting out of control. I should have gone to the doctor after the first one, and I still don’t want to. So this morning was the worst. I tried going into work but I felt dead. So then about a half hour into work I felt my stomach about to vomit my lungs inside out. I hoped that I could feel better after taking some Tylenol but I think it just got worst and wanted to go home. Then when I got home I threw up everything from last night and laid in bed for a long while. I think that is all that I needed because I am feeling better now minus the headache.
Over the weekend I visited Dee for her 22nd birthday. The drive there was faster than ever because I finally had an iPod to listen to my podcasts. Anyway when I got there I helped Dee with one of her hearing tests. She sat me in a sound proof room and measured how well my hearing is through my ears and the mastoid (the bone behind the ear.) I thought I would have some sort of lower than normal hearing because of all the loud music I listen to and how I play the drums but mine was very good.
We then went to Rivendell’s for lunch. Which is down the hill from where she lives. The inside had a lot of character, with a name like Rivendell’s I think it has to, but the food was pretty good, for health food. I had the smoked turkey and monterey jack sandwich while Dee had the garden burger. So we went to HEB for some sustenance for the next morning and eye drops. We bought an expensive bottle of syrup to go with our french vanilla waffles. They were the best waffles ever. I don’t think I could ever buy another syrup that costs less than three dollars.
That night we went to Austin with Cynthia, CJ, Shannon, and Robert. First we went to a Japanese restaurant named Silhouette on 6th street. Dee and I shared some sushi that tasted pretty good. Then we walked over to a bar to play billiards and then walked down more to a place that had a root beer shot, and that wasn’t that amazing as I thought it would be. So we walked some more and decided to just leave for home. It was a crowded night because Austin City Limits was over the weekend and a lot of bands were playing in places.
On Saturday we went shopping for a French press and new jeans at the outlet mall. So we went over to Pottery Barn and looked around for awhile before setting in the kitchen appliances and found a great one. Then we went to Jimmy’z for new jeans and found nothing. Then went to Gap and found something and a new gray hooded sweatshirt. We then went to HEB to get food for the meat loaf dinner we were going to prepare. It took about 2-3 hours to finish. It was the greatest meat loaf I’ve ever had and my baby made it. We took the recipe from All Recipes. Then we watched The Libertine (2004) to end the night. Yeah, it wasn’t that great of a movie and a bit creepy. I would recommend going to Wikipedia and reading up on the Earl of Rochester, it’s a lot more interesting.
Then on Sunday we watched cartoons all morning, had our delicious waffles, and ate the rest of our meat loaf for lunch. It was a very nice weekend with Dee and I really hope I get into Texas State.
Well, today was the first day that I have done some guerilla marketing for List and Found™. I went with Gary Remy the owner of the company, and we through some business down Westheimer. Many of the people I personally talked to seemed interested in the product. I’m not very good at presenting but then again I’m not as experienced as Gary. It was a nice day to be outside so I enjoyed it a lot.
I’ve been slowly in the process of cleaning out my hard drive and doing a reinstall of Tiger. So far I’ve transferred everything to an external drive but never had the time to erase and install. There have been days were it has been a good time but I would rather do something productive on my computer than just sit and wait for it. It has bee on my to-do list for about two months now. I’m shooting for the end of December for it to be done. Hopefully, by that time I will have 2GB of RAM and a fresh install of Tiger and ready to upgrade for the next OS Leopard.
I bought Ever We Fall’s We Are But Human. It took them a long time to release this. I remember finding them and they released a song on their Hopeless Records page of the song before it was rerecorded for this album.
