Rockin’ Robin
The first two days of class were good. The walk to campus is kind of tough for me; but I think things will get better once I condition myself to walk twenty minutes every morning. My apartment is still a bit empty. I have two big pillows to sit on in the middle of the living room and a light. The bedroom has my bed and my computer. I just need a couch and I think it will be nice. I will be coming to Houston this weekend, and I will most likely be playing the drums because I miss having them around to play when I am stressed or worried and whenever I feel like rockin’ out.
Dee and I saw Good Shepherd and Children of Men. Two great movies that I would recommend everyone to go see. Children of Men was a lot less sci-fi than I thought it would be. Although it was a more logical setting of the future. There was not enough Julianne Moore in it though. I assumed she would because she was second billed for the movie, and she had less screen time than any of the other supporting actors. We also went to Red Robin and The Tap Room which both have great hamburgers. I think Red Robin has a better selection though.
Heroes starts again tomorrow!
Finally!
Classes were delayed two and a half days here at Texas State because of the “ice storm” that swept our small town. I was excited about starting but then the ice came and it was kind of annoying. The weather is still a bit cold but warm enough to melt the ice a bit. I only have Political Science today so I don’t think much will happen. Although since we did miss two days the professor will probably lecture more. We’ll see what happens.
Well here is what my schedule looks like:
I am taking 14 hours it’s a good schedule, but I have to drive to the bowling alleys Tuesday and Thursday mornings for my bowling class. Well next semester; I will start my art classes and everything will be cool.
It’s no Houston
I have moved into my apartment here in San Marcos. Everything is unpacked and I have no furniture. My parents are coming here to help me get furniture and things for the apartment. So hopefully it won’t look so drab anymore than it is right now. I made a desk out of a crate and a tiny piece of wood from my old desk. The only two things I have to sit on is the floor and my ball chair. I really should have brought the bar stool from my room. I’ll take some photos of the place once I get things in it. Now Dee and my friends aren’t so far away from me and we can hang out without having to plan too far in advance. So classes start this Tuesday and I am pretty excitied about that. I really wasn’t expecting to go back to school so early but I figured that I better get my Bachelors before I’ve gotten too old.
