The Nine Star Story
We have about a month left for the semester to be over. My classes have been going fine, but I’m having a few clumsy actions. I had trouble signing up for my summer session. I was set to take one or two of my foundation courses, but they were closed by the time I was able to register. Now I have to settle with two basic courses.
I decided recently on moving out of my apartment since I found out that they were raising the rates. It has been a stressful time now that I have figure out what to do. I’ll be signing a lease in a day or two; once I pay the deposit everything with be fine.
Thankfully Dee is around to help me with things, but she will be going to graduate school in the fall. I have no idea what I’ll do without her around here. So I’m a bit weary on the stability of life once she goes away. Maybe a pet will fill the void.
I’m digging the updated WordPress.
My mother and I went to the Houston Museum of Natural Science to see Lucy’s Legacy: The Hidden Treasures of Ethiopia. It’s the first time that the real bones have been shown to the public in America. It was more about the culture Ethiopia. There were many artifacts such as crucifixes, musical instruments, and weapons. I’d say the most interesting part of the exhibit, next to Lucy’s bones, were the rock-hewn churches in Lalibela (mapped). The churches are rock-cut from the ground in the shape of the cross. Well the exhibit will be in Houston until April 27th if you have a chance; try and make a visit to the museum. There is also a Leonardo da Vinci exhibit that I need to goto before it closes.
Here are the photos from the Barack Obama Rally that took place across the street from my apartment complex. It was a great experience to see a presidential candidate speak. I really hoped it didn’t happen at night and in the cold.
