Barack Obama Rally
Here are the photos from the Barack Obama Rally that took place across the street from my apartment complex. It was a great experience to see a presidential candidate speak. I really hoped it didn’t happen at night and in the cold.
Weekend Photos
These photos were taken when Dee and I went to San Antonio on Saturday, but the last photo is from my apartment. Driving there was a bit tiresome, but I had a great time.

Stray In The Doorway
Here is a photo of the stray kitten that has been outside of my apartment complex. Since we aren’t allowed pets I have a feeling that it’s going to be taken away.”
Fireworks
There is a Second Baptist church behind my parent’s house, and they had a Forth of July fireworks show tonight. My bedroom’s window is the perfect view so I decided to try and take photos again because last year’s didn’t turn out too well. The photos can be seen on my Flickr page; this is my favorite photo.

St. Paul’s
On Friday Dee and I went to St. Paul’s Methodist Church so I can take photos for my Art History class. The project was to goto a church in Houston that has gothic elements in it’s architecture. I choose St. Paul’s because I remember it looking really nice and had a tall bell tower. The sky was really nice during the afternoon. I could only take photos of the exterior because I would have to call them to get permission. It was Friday afternoon and it didn’t look like anyone was there. Plus I just didn’t want to ask.
The church looks like it is a gothic inspired modern designed church. Probably during the Gothic revival period. The strongest elements that I recognized are the elaborate decorative sculpting, the portals in the west entrance, pointed arches, and many finials. It’s a beautiful church. I would go if it wasn’t so far away.
Stair Well Lit
I’ve been wanting to take a photo of this light in the stair well where I work for a long time. A Polaroid was my first intention but I didn’t want to bring my Pola into work.
